Play Texas Holdem

If you want to play Texas Holdem, you have to be familiar with the rules. It is easy to play this fabulous poker game, but you have to be concentrated and disciplined.

To play Texas Holdem you will need a standard deck of 52 cards. The game is played clockwise and it starts when the dealer gives each player two cards face down. These cards are called the pocket cards or the hole cards. After the deal there is a round on betting. Then the dealer places three cards face up on the center of the table, named community cards - this is the Flop.

After the Flop another round of betting occurs. The next part on the game is called the Turn. Here the dealer puts another card face up on the table. The game continues with another betting round. Then the dealer puts the fifth community card on the table - this is the River. Now it is time for the last betting round. In the last part of the game - The Showdown - each player has to reveal his (or her) cards. You have to be familiar with the hand ranking, because we use it to determine who is the winner. The object of the game is to create the strongest five-card hand.
